Sold new to Van Loon i Holland. Came to Sweden around 1966 when the car salesman Kaiser bought here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The current owner bougth her in 2005 and then began a speeded restoration. Since 2006 the boat has toured around to Riva club meetings in Sweden, Finland, Germany, Holland, Monaco and Italy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

A boat with a well-documented history where all owners are known. She came to Sweden from Italy in 1982 and present owner is the fifth one in total.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Right now, a complete restauration is being carried out, which includes the structure, bottom, hull sides and deck. The engine and upholstery will also be fixed and restored to original status eventually.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

He named the boat PAT, a name she was allowed to keep until I bought her. My wife didn’t like the name so we had to rename her Symfoni!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the moment undergoing a restauration of the hull.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Riva Florida Super “PAPAGENA”

The boat was ordered from the Riva shipyard by wholesaler Wennberg in Stockholm as one of the first imported Rivas to Sweden and the boat was then motorized with a Chris Craft 6-cylinder MCL of 175 hp.
This engine was changed in 1990.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All previous owners are knowned and the present one bougth her in 2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Papagena<\/em> is in a almost complete original condition with most details preserved, and is kept in good working order to be used extensively during the summer in Sweden.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Unknown how the boat later ended up in Finland. Current owner had the boat restored in 2018.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Don’t know much about the boat, as we bought her from an estate in Bromma in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The boat came from Nice in 2012 to SSS boat club Bergvik in Bromma, Sweden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both engines were then changed to 2 Crusader 350\/5.7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tritone #209 was delivered in 1962 via Monaco Boat Service to Mr. Gaudad, resident of Caluire in the French Alps. Upon delivery, the boat was equipped with two Chrysler Sea-V M80s of 177 Hp each.
The boat was named LEGONE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sold new to Nautica Maglietta in Naples 17\/1 1974.
In September 2000 we met Piero Gibbellini who recommended Meriso Marini in Paratico, Lago di Iseo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meriso was an engine expert at RAM between 1958-1973, since then he has renovated over 150 Riva boats. According to him, the boat last came from Rome. I ordered a complete restoration of the boat, paid cash in advance and picked it up by truck in May 2001. Launched in Lysekil straight from the cradle and it has worked well ever since!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The first owner was Amodo in Naples. Current owner bought her in 2008 from Mr Ottens in Amsterdam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The boat was transported to Erio Matteri and his shipyard in Lake Como where it was restored to perfection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The boat is still in Lake Como and the owner gives Erio Matteri’s yard the highest recommendation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The boat came to Sweden in 1986-87 from Milan, Italy and was exhibited at one of the Stockholm boat fairs. Has since then been in custody until I bought her in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is now totally restored with replacement of the bottom and bottom logs, new hull sides and decks. The original engine is completely renovated from bottom up. Today the boat is probably in same or better condition than original. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

First delivery was to Vernocchi in Italy and the boat then had a ChrisCraft MCL (6 cyl, 175 Hp).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The boat came to Sweden in 1990 as a renovation object. Present owner bought her in 2000, still unrestored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since then extensive renovation work has been underway with replacement of several frames, new bottom and more. Hopefully we will soon see this Riva in the water again, after more than 33 years on land.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The boat was delivered new to the company Karma S.A. in Panama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next known location is Holland where she was refitted. Around year 2000 Peter Goks\u00f6yr bought her and took the boat to Sweden’s west coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The present owner bought her in 2012, whereupon she had to move east, all the way to Finland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The old engine was not working well so a new Crusader V8 (carburator) was installed in 2021.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Sold in Sweden by European motor in 1974 who also ordered the boat from the Riva yard. She was sold at the boat fair in Sthlm in 1974.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Has had a couple of different owners in Stockholm and the current owner bought her in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(For some unknown reason, this and 5 other boats are called Rudy “Special”, in the yard’s records.)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The boat was sold new to the van Loon family from Dutch Haarlem. On delivery, she was equipped with two Chrysler M80s of 177 Hp. After a number of years she was sold back to Italy. In 1980-81 she was refitted with 2 new Chrysler engines at the Riva yard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She came to Sweden from Italy in mid 80\u00b4s and was bougth by the present owner in 1995. Since then she has been restored year by year, but still in water almost every summer. Today she is in a very good condition.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Riva Ariston “POUPIE V”

The boat was sold by MBS in 1967 to Guy Rizzo in Monaco and was named Pesquit. Coming years are unclear, but the name was probably changed by another owner to Poupie V.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In later years the boat came to the French Royal Automobile in La Boule. After this the boat was imported by Hans Bo Jacobsen, Classic Car Denmark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I became the happy owner of Poupie<\/em> in 2011. I am probably the first one to launch and use the boat after the stay in France, and she is still in very good condition. The engine is replaced and equipped with electronic ignition and fresh water cooling system.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Sold new to Denmark in 1966. Came to Sweden in the 70s and changed owner several times. First restoration in the 80s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The boat came to the west coast in 2015 where a second restoration resulted in the very good condition the boat is in today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was sold to the present owner in the area of Stockholm in 2021. Recent work is an updated instrument panel, new steering wheel and modified electric system.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The boat was sold new to Rinaldi Palma in Naples. She came to Sweden sometime in the 80s.
During the latter part of the 90s a first restoration was strated, but never ended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2004 the present owner bougth her lying upside down on a trailer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new total restoration began, which would take 7 years to complete in the owners garage. The boat was ready just in time for the 100-year celebration of the 1912 Olympic Games in Nyn\u00e4shamn. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The boat was sold new to Societe Stelios in Italy. The first known owner in Sweden is Hans Magnusson who sold it to the current owner in 1994. The boat was transported to Belgium for restoration and then to Damiano’s shipyard, Cinqe Terre in Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today the boat is at Matteri’s in Lago di Como in perfect condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The boat was sold new to Mottola in Bari, Italy. Originally equipped with a Chrysler M80 V8. The engine is today a GM V8 converted to Riva design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The boat was first renovated in 91-92 in Sarnico and then again in 97-98 in Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The current owner in Finland has recently had her renovated at Pietarsaari Ab Jacobstads B\u00e5tvarv to top condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The boat is for sale.

This is the story of a true enthusiast who spent 16 years restoring his total wreck in the form of a rather unusual 1959 Riva Ariston.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a vacation in Italy in the town of Laglio on Lake Como, my wife and I were inspired to find a Riva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By a stroke of luck, this Ariston appeared online online in summer 2023 as a \u201cbarn find\u201d in former East Germany. The seller had kept the boat for 27 years without doing anything to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The boat was sold new to a Kreusch in Issel, probably in Holland. The boat’s early history is unknown, but in 2000 she arrived in Finland in poor condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The current owner took over the boat in 2015 and since then the freeboard and bottom have been restored at a wooden boatyard. In the winter of 2022-23, the engine was renovated with a new 350 block. Remains to restore deck and cockpit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The boat is used today as a “city boat” in Helsinki and the nearby archipelago.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Riva Super Florida #543, 1961 <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Riva Super Florida #543 is one of very few Rivas that was delivered new to Sweden. The boat was ordered on 8 February 1961 by Director Helge Pehrsson in Stockholm through AB NK Kristensson who was then agent for Cantieri Riva in Sweden. The boat’s original engine was a Chrysler Sea-V of 177 hp and the order included a lot of extra equipment such as signal horn, sunroof, canopy over the rear cockpit, port canopy, extra manual pump, searchlight, compass, bathing ladder and water ski pole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The boat was launched in the summer of 1961 without a name, and it has remained so to date. Before the current owner took over the boat in 1997, two more owners managed to wear her with pleasure\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ariston #385 was delivered in 1961 in Cannes to Enrique Bravo Saurez of Cascais, Portugal, under his alias Mr. Najar. The event is mentioned in Riva the Myth under personalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The boat was delivered named Attila and the original engine was a Chrysler M80. Original upholstery was cream white “ivory” and green-turquoise upholstery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The boat was delivered by Monaco Boat Service on August 6, 1965 to the director Mr. Andrea Rissoli in St. Jean Cap Ferrat as a gift to his wife Liuba Rosa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The boat is mentioned in Riva the Myth under personalities. The boat was named Isandra II. Original upholstery in 1965 was colored in orange (Coral), black and cream white. Chris Craft 283 V8 engines were installed in the boat and still are, but with new engine blocks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
